At present, there are more than 300,000 Arabs residing in London, with more than half a million spread across Great Britain. These numbers increase during the summer months by up to a million and a half visitors from the Middle East, mainly from GCC countries. The weather undoubtedly plays a part, London is far cooler than the Middle East at this time of year and with trees and flowers in full bloom there really is nowhere like London in the sun.

The parks are overflowing with pedestrians and picnics, lazy afternoons and cycle rides that offer a welcome respite to hazy summer heats of the UAE. Then of course, there is shopping, the famous West End of London including the large variety found on Oxford Street and the upmarket Bond Street.

Everything from Marks & Spencers to Selfridges, Chanel, Gucci, and Prada. London is a shopping destination. With a range of both high street to high end, designer to boutique and with VAT redeemable at the airport and even in house in some department stores, shopping is a huge persuading factor when it comes to summer planning.

"London is not the only thing on offer this summer. The UK is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. From the rugged mountains of Scotland to the beautiful beaches of Cornwall; to the winding Canals of Birmingham and the famous football teams of Manchester, there really is so much to do."

When a day of shopping and exploring is over, London has some of the finest restaurants on offer. With over 71 Michelin Star restaurants and everything from fresh sustainable seafood to the many Arabic wonders found on the Edgeware Road London is a culinary delight.

The city's reputation for food stands alongside those of New York and Paris. According to Adam Hyman, who runs the Code hospitality news forum, America's cities may have better nightlife and Tokyo fresher ingredients, but London "has so much diversity’.

There is not a point in Britain that is more than 75 miles away from a Coastline and the UK are proud of their beaches, come rain or shine. With a strong infrastructure of transport that runs country wide, all that Britain has to offer is easily accessible.

It is not just shopping, dining and the seaside that bring many GCC Nationals to London for the summer, it is also the rich culture of the Capital. London is home to some fantastic museums and with the British Museum, Natural History Museum and the National Gallery all offering free admission there are things for the whole family to do.

Many GCC Nationals like to own a base in London. Owning provides comfort and a sense of home away from home, most modern developments come fully secured and it is not only Summer that many GCC Nationals travel but Spring and Winter break too, let’s not forget saving on large hotel fees too!

The UK, whilst acting as a Summer vacation destination also acts as a safe haven for wealth, provides a strong investment landscape and is the preferred education destination for many GCC Nationals. Knight Frank are currently marketing Lillie Square, a collection of luxury apartments.

The development is located in West London with transport links across the Capital. It is only 6 minutes away from Knightsbridge and 7 minutes to Hyde Park Corner.
